1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TradeTest.ai ("the Service"), operated by TradeTest AI ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Service.

2. Description of Service

TradeTest.ai is a SaaS platform that provides the following capabilities:

  • AI Strategy Building: Describe trading strategies in natural language, and our AI (powered by Anthropic Claude) generates executable backtesting code
  • Backtesting: Run historical backtests on your strategies across various assets and timeframes
  • Performance Analysis: View detailed reports with equity curves, drawdown charts, win rates, trade-by-trade breakdowns, and risk metrics
  • Parameter Optimization: Use AI-assisted hyperparameter tuning to optimize your strategy performance
  • Paper Trading: Simulate live trading with your backtested strategies using virtual capital (when available)

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You may register using email/password or Google OAuth. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for an extended period (12 months or more).

4. Credit System and Pricing

4.1 Credit-Based Model

TradeTest.ai operates on a credit-based payment model. Credits are consumed when you use certain features of the Service. This is not a subscription — you purchase credits as needed, and they do not expire.

4.2 Credit Costs

The following actions consume credits:

  • AI Chat Message: 1 credit per message sent to the AI assistant
  • Backtest Run: 1 credit per backtest execution
  • Optimization Run: 5 credits per optimization (hyperparameter tuning) execution

Credit costs are subject to change. We will notify you of any changes before they take effect. Actions already in progress will not be affected by price changes.

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. By purchasing credits, you agree to Paddle's terms of service. Paddle handles all billing, taxes, invoicing, and payment disputes.

4.4 Free Tier

New users who sign up via Google OAuth receive 3 free backtest credits. This is a one-time offer per user and is designed to let you evaluate the Service before purchasing.

4.5 Refund Policy

Unused credits may be refunded within 14 days of purchase, provided that fewer than 50% of the purchased credits have been consumed. Refund requests should be submitted to support@tradetest.ai. Refunds are processed by Paddle and may take 5-10 business days to appear.

Credits consumed due to technical errors on our part (e.g., a failed backtest caused by a system error) will be automatically refunded to your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
  • Circumvent rate limits, credit requirements, or other usage restrictions
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, malware, or any harmful content
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse free tier credits or other promotions
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our prior written consent
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
  • Use the Service for money laundering, market manipulation, or any other illegal financial activity

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination, at our sole discretion.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate trading strategy code and provide analysis. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated strategies, code, and analysis are provided for informational and educational purposes only
  • AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or suboptimal logic
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, understanding, and validating any AI-generated code before using it in any trading context
  • AI-generated content does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or trading recommendations
  • The AI may misinterpret your strategy description or produce code that does not accurately reflect your intended trading rules
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated output

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on the following third-party technologies:

  • Anthropic Claude: AI language model used for strategy code generation and conversational assistance. Subject to Anthropic's usage policies
  • Paddle: Merchant of Record for payment processing
  • Amazon Web Services: Cloud infrastructure provider

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services. Disruptions in third-party services may temporarily affect the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, documentation, and branding, is owned by TradeTest AI and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

8.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the strategy descriptions, parameters, and other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8.3 AI-Generated Code

Strategy code generated by the AI is provided to you for your personal use. You may use, modify, and deploy this code as you see fit. However, we make no representations regarding the originality or intellectual property status of AI-generated code, and you use it at your own risk.

9. Financial Disclaimer

This is critical — please read carefully:

  • TradeTest.ai is a backtesting and analysis tool, not a financial advisory service
  • Nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any asset
  • Past performance does not predict or guarantee future results. A strategy that performed well in historical backtesting may lose money in live markets
  • Backtest results are based on historical data and involve assumptions (e.g., order fills, slippage, fees) that may not reflect real-world trading conditions
  • Trading financial instruments (stocks, cryptocurrencies, forex, derivatives) involves significant risk of loss. You can lose some or all of your invested capital
  • You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions. We do not manage, advise on, or execute trades on your behalf
  • You should consult with a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions
  • We are not registered as a financial advisor, broker-dealer, or investment company in any jurisdiction

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF RESULTS

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy of backtest results, market data, or AI-generated content.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRADETEST AI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Any trading losses incurred based on strategies developed, tested, or optimized using the Service
  • Any damages arising from reliance on backtest results or AI-generated content

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TradeTest AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any trading or investment decisions you make based on information obtained through the Service
  • Any content you submit to the Service

13. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice
  • Change credit costs, features, or functionality
  • Impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service
  • Perform scheduled maintenance that may temporarily affect availability

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes in advance. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

14. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved as follows:

  1. Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first at support@tradetest.ai to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter within 30 days
  2. Jurisdiction: If informal resolution fails, any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively before the courts of Istanbul, Turkey

15. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page. Material changes will be communicated to you via email or a prominent notice on the Service at least 15 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.

17. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TradeTest AI regarding the Service
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction
  • Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, or internet/infrastructure failures
